Omar Offendum
Omar Offendum also known as Omar Chakaki is a Syrian American hip hop artist, architect, educator and activist. He was born in Saudi Arabia and raised in Washington, DC. Omar Offendum has had some hit songs that have gone viral. Omar Offendum’s song #Jan25, inspired by the Arab Spring uprisings in Egypt, became popular in 2011. It went viral via the internet, which Offendum sees as a key factor in the spread of international hip-hop.
